Living An Organic Lifestyle!

I want to share one of my personal interests, "ORGANIC LIVING!" I love my family and always want to make sure that they have the best of everything. I try to do as much research to find a natural remedy for things like, a sore throat, hair products, cleaning products, etc. I believe that we have everything that we need naturally on the earth for any situation! So during my research, I came across this recipe to make my own washing powder! I was ecstatic about making it! Once I made it, used it for the first time, I was very pleased in the results. When making the washing powder, it smelled sooooo fresh and clean! I want to show you how I made it.....

-(1x) 4 lb 12 oz box Borax (2.15 kg or 76 oz)
found in the detergent isle

-(1x) 4 lb box Arm & Hammer Baking Soda (1.81 kg)
 found in the cooking isle

-(1x) box Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda 55 oz (3 lb 7 oz)
found in the detergent isle

-(3x) bars of Fels-Naptha soap, found in the detergent isle
I used (2x) of the Fels-Naptha soap, and (2x) Ivory soap bars)

-(1x)  container of Oxy Clean or I used "Green Works" brand
(try to get about 3.5 lbs total (1.58 kg)) found in the detergent isle.
I used a grater for the Fels-Naptha and Ivory soap bars. You can use a hand held grater, or a food processor. If  using a HE washer run the mix through the processor to get a finer mix.
Mix all ingredients is a trash bag or something deep and easy to poor into your container.

All you need to use is 1-2 tblsp per load!

My children and hubby have sensitive skin, and I found this washing powder very gentle on their skin. I must say that
I did add a small amount of Tide to the powder to get to the really tough stains, and it worked perfectly. Other than the Tide, everything is 100% organic!

This is my OWN laundry powder, YaY!!!
